§ Y
' ^ i.t> ' r•1l,?Y
Wetland A
Wetland A is a 1.62 acre wetland located on the southern half of the project area. The wetland
boundary was first observed at the toe slope of the hill to the north of Wetland A. Wetland A contains
a Type 2 reed canary grass buffer before transitioning into a Type 3 cattail marsh. A Type 6 shrub-carr
wetland was observed in the southwest corner of the property. Wetland A consists of 0.16 acres of
Type 2 (wet meadow), 0.11 acres of Type 6 (shrub-Carr), and 1.34 acres of Type 3 (shallow marsh).
The Wetland boundary was determined by an abrupt change in elevation and vegetation. The
vegetation to the north of the wetland boundary is continuously mowed and maintained, unlike the
hydrophytic vegetation within the wetland.
ReCQtT1C1"le(dICnS
Activities impacting or potentially impacting the wetlands identified are regulated through several
levels of government in Minnesota:
• Fed21"dl: US Army Corps of Engineers: Permit Programs under Section 404 of the Clean Water
Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act
• Fed21'al: USDA NRCS: Wetland Conservation Provisions of the 1996 Farm Bill
• Stdt2 of Minnesota: Minnesota Department of Natural Resources: Public Waters Work
Permit Program
• LOCdI: Local Units of Government (LGU) administer the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act
(WCA) of 1991.
Please note that grading, excavating, or filling is not allowed until all necessary permits have been
obtained. If wetland impacts are proposed, ISG can assist in the proper steps to acquire the
appropriate permit or exemption. By initiating the permit process as soon as possible, potential costly
delays to the project may be avoided.
1760 Shoreline Dr. - Wetland Delineation Report Page 7
ISG Project No. 20712
