SWPPP Modifications
You should be reviewing the SWPPP annually making sure everything is current and updated, and modifying if it is not.Any
modification regardless of whether done annually of more frequently must be represented in the SWPPP. Modifications could
include but are not limited to change in design, operation, and maintenance, but could also include newly listed TMDLs and
through inspections, BMP deficiencies.
Modifications in the SWPPP also include and affect monitoring data. If your facility has changed the number or location of
benchmark/effluent limit monitoring locations, these must denoted in the SWPPP and represented in both the Annual Report
and Stormwater Monitoring Report. This also includes all waivers removing the Permittee from monitoring responsibility or
adjusting benchmark values.
If your facility adds other industrial activities, which are represented by other sectors then the ones you originally designated
on your facility's application. You must modify the SWPPP to show these changes and remember to monitor for any additional
parameters.Again, these changes should be explained in the Annual Report and Stormwater Monitoring Report.
www.pca.state.mn.us • 651-296-6300 • 800-657-3864 • TTY 651-282-5332 or 800-657-3864 • Available in alternative formats
wq-strm3-18 • 11/7/11 Page 6 of 7
