Wetland A
Wetland A was a Type 3 cattail marsh adjacent to Shoreline Dr. to the north, a paved driveway to
the east and south, and a residential home to the west. A culvert was observed along the north
edge of the wetland that went under Shoreline Dr. The driveway had a steep slope down to the
wetland area with a manicured lawn present. A majority of the wetland appeared to be inundated
at the time of the delineation.
Wetland B
Most of Wetland B was a Type 3 cattail marsh with the south west portion being dominated by
reed canary grass and lakebank sedge. A culvert was observed along the north edge of the
Wetland that went under Shoreline Dr. Wetland B was partially inundated at the time of the
survey. A small portion in southeast corner of the wetland was unable to be flagged because of a
locked high fence when the field work was conducted.
RCDIICICICIQCS
Activities impacting or potentially impacting the wetlands identified are regulated through several levels
of government in Minnesota:
• Federal: US Army Corps of Engineers: Permit Programs under Section 404 of the Clean Water
Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act
• Fedef al: USDA NRCS: Wetland Conservation Provisions of the 1996 Farm Bill
• State of Minnesota: Minnesota Department of Natural Resources: Public Waters Work Permit
Program
• LOC81: Local Units of Government (LGU) administer the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act
(WCA) of 1991.
Please note that grading, excavating, or filling is not allowed until all necessary permits have been
obtained. If wetland impacts are proposed, ISG can assist in the proper steps to acquire the appropriate
permit or exemption. By initiating the permit process as soon as possible, potential costly delays to the
project may be avoided.
1205 & 1225 Shoreline Drive Page 7
