BITUMiNOUS DAMPPROOFING <br /> SECTION 07160 <br /> PART 1 -GENERAL <br /> 1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS <br /> A. Drawings and general provisions of the Contract,including General and Supplementary <br /> Conditions and Division 1 Specification Sections,apply to this Section. <br /> 1.2 SUMMARY <br /> A. T'his Section includes the following: <br /> 1. Cold-applied,cut-back asphalt dampproofing. <br /> 13 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. General: Submit each item in this Article according to the Conditions of the Contract and <br /> Division 1 Specification Sections. <br /> B. Product data for each type of product specified,including data substantiating that materials <br /> comply with requirements for each dampproofing material specified. Include recommended method of <br /> application,recommended primer,number of coats,coverage or thickness,and recommended protection <br /> course. <br /> 1.4 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Installer Qualifications: Engage an experienced Installer who has completed bituminous <br /> dampproofmg similar in material,design,and extent to that indicated for this Project and with a record of <br /> successful in-service performance. <br /> B. Single-Source Responsibility: Obtain primary dampproofing materials and primers from one <br /> source and by a single manufacturer. Provide secondary materials only as recommended by manufacturer <br /> ' of primary materials. <br /> 1.5 PROJECT CONDITIONS <br /> A. Substrate: Proceed with dampproofing only after substrate construction and penetrating work <br /> have been completed. <br /> B. Weather Limita.tions: Proceed with dampproofing only when existing and forecasted weather <br /> conditions will pemut work to be performed according to manufacturer's recommendations and warranty <br /> requirements. <br /> C. Ventilation: Provide adequate ventilation during application of dampproofmg in enclosed <br /> spaces. Maintain ventilation until dampproofing has thoroughly cured. <br /> PART2-PRODUCTS <br /> 2.1 MANUFACTURERS <br /> A. Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements,provide products by one of the <br /> following: <br /> 1. Cold-Applied,Cut-Back Asphalt Dampproofing: <br /> a.
