According to the <br /> City of Orono, a conservation easement was placed on this property for <br /> Pemela G.Blixl the preservation of the vegetation on the bluff extending down to the <br /> ,lames Calkins shoreline of the lake. During a site visit on May 1, 2001, Dist�ict Staff <br /> observed that 80-90% of the vegetation on the bluff and shoreline had <br /> lance Fsher been removed. Serious damage has occurred at this site due to the <br /> Mon�aa�ross clearing that has been done in the last 8-8 months. This site clearly <br /> ScottThomas conflicts with MCWD Pollcy as stated In Rule F. <br /> . MCWD Rule F, section 1b-c, Policy states the following: tt is policy of the <br /> �taicdm Re�d Board of Managers to preserve the natural appearance of shoreline and <br /> R�n�,�� streambank areas; and encourage and foster bioengineering, landscaping <br /> and preservation of natural vegetation as prefeRed means of stabilizing <br /> shorellnes and streambanks_ <br /> . The permit applicatlon as submitted stated that the shoreline below the <br /> ordinary high water(OHW) has "considerable erosion damage".
