P4otion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) . <br /> Councilmember Paurus, Lake P'linnetonka Conservation LP�lCD REPORT <br /> District Representative, announced that Lt�ICD public <br /> � hearings would be held in the Orono Council Chambers <br /> Pdover,lber 15, 1978 at 7: 30 P.PS. regarding dock licenses. <br /> Councilr:ler.lber Paurus reviewed the LP�ICD Lake PZanage- � LriCD PRIORITIES PROGRAM <br /> ment Progran Priorities and requested corunents <br /> frori the City Council at a future time. <br /> Roland Berglund and Peggy ti9atson, Park Coru�ission BEDERWOOD PARK <br /> r.ier.ibers, were present to discuss the developr.ient of <br /> Bederwood Park. <br /> Mr. Berglund read a letter outlining the history <br /> of the property now kno�an as Bederwood Park. <br /> Discussion followed concerning the use of park � <br /> dedication fees, the need for a Babe Ruth field, <br /> rlonies spent already on the grading, seeding, etc. , <br /> what the recreational needs are, and who would <br /> operate and maintain playground facilities. <br /> P4rs . Watson stated that approximately 60 ' would <br /> have to be excavated in order to r.iake �= �a�e`��.11 <br /> field. <br /> Councilr►ember Paurus requested John Gerhardson, <br /> Public Works Coordinator, to ohta�_n rnc�re informa- <br /> tion on what specifications qualify a Babe Ruth <br /> field, such as dugout, backstop, or anything that <br /> could be an expense to the City; 2) A naintenance <br /> plan; 3) Specific financial estimates needed to <br /> build and maintain the park. <br />
