Absent: Councilmembers <br /> t�iassengale and Paurus. Also present: Assistant <br /> Building & Zoning Administrator Olson, City Attorney <br /> 2lalkerson, and City Engineer Olson. Absent: City <br /> Administrator Benson. <br /> t4ayor Van Nest announced that this was the time and PUBLIC HEARING <br /> place for the adjourned public hearing concerning On-Site Disposal <br /> the proposed On-Site Disposal Ordinance. <br /> Mayor Van Nest explained the proposed ordinance <br /> and the reasons for the need for it. IIe stated <br /> that t�ere would be an annual inspection charge <br /> of all spetic systems and recommendations for <br /> repair, if necessary. <br /> P-Zr. Ron Miller, 270 Willow Drive North, stated <br /> his concerns regarding paying a fee for on-site <br /> disposal inspections. I�e commented that his <br /> drainfield is basically a lifetime system and <br /> did not feel he should pay for an annual inspection. <br /> He further commented that he approved the concept <br /> of the ordinance but objected to the fee. <br /> Af.ter all persons present were afforded an opportunity <br /> to be heard, the public hearing was closed at 7:25 P.M. <br /> Butler moved, Pesek seconded, to table the proposed <br /> On-Site Disposal Ordinance until after staff review <br /> and recommendations. He also announced a <br /> meeting to be held February 15, 1978 at 7: 30 P.Ps. <br /> in the Orono City Fiall for LPiCD communities <br /> regarding their concer_ns for the aPProved docks. <br />
