� <br /> � MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> Tuesday,November 12,2013 <br /> 7:00 o'clock p.m. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> The Orono City Council met on the above-mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor <br /> Lili Tod McMillan, Council Members Cynthia Bremer, Lizz Levang, and Aaron Printup. Representing <br /> Staff were City Administrator Jessica Loftus,Assistant City Administrator for Long-Term Strategic <br /> Planning Michael Gaffron,Planning Coordinator Melanie Curtis,Public Works Director/City Engineer <br /> Jesse Struve, City Attorney Andrea McDowell Poehler,and Recorder Jackie Young. City Council <br /> Member Kristi Anderson arrived at 7:33 p.m. <br /> Mayor McMillan called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Item Nos.4, 5, 6, 9 through 15 were added to the Consent Agenda. <br /> Levang moved,Bremer seconded,to approve the Consent Agenda as amended. VOTE: Ayes 4, <br /> Nays 0. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> *2. CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION OF OCTOBER 28,2013 <br /> Levang moved,Bremer seconded,to approve the minutes of the Orono City Council Work Session <br /> of October 28,2013,as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 4,Nays 0. <br /> *3. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF OCTOBER 28,2013 <br /> Levang moved,Bremer seconded,to approve the minutes of the Orono City Council meeting of <br /> October 28,2013,as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 4,Nays 0. <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS—DENISE LESKINEN,REPRESENTATIVE <br /> Leskinen reported the Planning Commission has completed its initial review of the City's alternative <br /> energy ordinance and a public hearing on the draft ordinance will be held at the November 18 Planning <br /> Commission meeting. <br /> LMCD REPORT—ANDREW MCDERMOTT,REPRESENTATIVE <br /> McDermott stated approximately 98 percent of the docks on Lake Minnetonka have been taken in. At its <br /> meeting last week,the LMCD reviewed a de-icing permit from Sailor's World. McDermott noted the <br /> current owners for the past two or three years have had no issues and the permit was renewed by the <br /> LMCD with the maj ority of the restrictions on the permit being removed. The restrictions regarding the <br /> flashing light near the City's access point and the snow fence are still in effect. . <br /> Page 1 of 36 <br />
