City of Orono Conditional Use PermitNariance approval for structure/excavation in
protected wetland
2. Minnesota DNR Permit for permanent structure/excavation in wetlands/lake bed
3. (Possibly) Minnehaha Creek Watershed District permit for work in wetland,
especially if any excavation/filling occurs
4. (Possibly) Lake Minnetonka Conservation District Dock Permit
5. (Possibly) U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Permit for work in wetland
6. Permission to trespass / easement from owners of 1685 Fox Street and 1745 Fox
Street who may in fact own land or lake bed between 1655 Fox Street and the open
water of the creek
If all the above come to pass, 1655 Fox Street could potentially gain lake access because, based on
the survey work provided with the subdivision, the base of the steep slope near the house site is at
the 929.4'Lake Minnetonka Ordinary High Water Level(OHWL)elevation,making this a lakeshore
lot for zoning purposes.
This is an opinion as to the processes required for approval, not a commitment that the City will
approve such a dock. I can provide you with contact names/numbers if you wish to pursue this with
the other regulatory agencies.
