MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD JANUARY 13 , 1986 <br />9 <br />ATTENDANCE 7:00 PM It <br />The Orono Council met on the above date with the <br />following members present: Acting Mayor Adams, <br />Councilmembers Grabek, Frahm, and Hammerel. Mayor <br />Butler was absent. The following represented the City <br />staff: City Administrator Bernhardson, Public Works <br />Coordinator Gerhardson, Assistant Zoning Administrator <br />Gaffron, Chief Kilbo, and City Recorder Peterson. City <br />Attorney Tom Barrett was also present. <br />CONSENT AGENDA* <br />City Administrator Bernhardson requested that Item #17 <br />(Zoning Application #992 - City of Orono) be removed <br />from the Consent Agenda. <br />It was moved by C Frahm, seconded by C Hammerel, to <br />approve the Consent Agenda* as amended. Motion, Ayes 4, <br />Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by <br />Councilmember Hammerel, to approve the Minutes of the <br />regular Council meeting on December 9, 1985. Motion, <br />Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br />It was moved by Councilmember Frahm, seconded by <br />Councilmember Hammerel, to approve the Minutes of the <br />special Council meeting on December 23, 1985. Motion, <br />Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />City Administr�-tor Bernhardson administered the Oath of <br />Office to newly appointed Police Officers Brian Patrick <br />Clark and James Leroy Cornick Jr. <br />PARK COMMISSION COMMENTS <br />There were no c,-)mments from the Park Commission. <br />LAKE MINNETONKA CONSERVATION DISTRICT REPORT: <br />LAKE MINNETONKA USE AND ACCESS - JON ELAM <br />City Administrator Bernhardson introduced Jon Elam, <br />currently Director Administration with the Metropolitan <br />Council. Mr. Elam was representing the Lake Minnetonka <br />Conservation District regarding committment of parking <br />slots in relationship to the 1983 Task Force. City <br />Administrator Bernhardson noted per his memo that the <br />Metro Council currently has a task force studying the <br />issue and additionally the DNR has purchased an access <br />at Kings Point and are looking at others in the area. <br />1 <br />
