C- <br />at <br />U <br />• <br />• <br />MINUMUNFS O THE <br />ORONO CITY CIL MEETING <br />Monday, May 12, 2008 <br />7:00 o'clock p.m. <br />ROLL <br />The Orono City Council met on the above - mentioned date with the following members present: <br />Council Members Cynthia Bremer, Jim Murphy;! Lili McMillan, and David Rahn. Representing Staff <br />were Finance Director Ron Olson, Assistant City Administrator for Long -Term Strategy Mike Gaffron, <br />Planner Evelyn Turner, City Engineer Tom Kellogg, and Recorder Jackie Young. <br />Acting Mayor Murphy called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Item Nos. 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, and 15 were added to the Consent Agenda. Item No. 4 was removed <br />from the Consent Agenda. <br />Bremer moved, Rahn seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as amended. VOTE: Ayes 4, <br />Nays 0. j <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />*2. REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF APRIL 28, 2008 <br />Bremer moved, Rahn seconded, to approve the minutes of the April 28, 2008, City Council <br />meeting as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />*3. RECONVENED 2008 LOCAL BOARD OF APPEAL AND EQUALIZATION MEETING <br />OF APRIL 29, 2008 <br />Bremer moved, Rahn seconded, to approve the minutes of the April 29; 2008, Reconvened Local <br />Board of Appeal and Equalization meeting. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />LMCD REPORT — ANDREW MCDERMOTT, REPRESENTATIVE <br />McDermott reported that the spraying of Carman i's Bay, Gray's Bay, and Phelps Bay will be <br />commenced sometime later in May once the water reaches a certain temperature.
