MINUTES OF THE <br /> , ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> Monday,September 19,2005 <br /> 6:00 o'clock p.m. <br /> ROLL <br /> The Orono Planning Commission met on the above-mentioned date with the following members present: <br /> Chair David Rahn, Commissioners Roland Jurgens, Jim Leslie, Cynthia Bremer, J.Marc Fritzler,Ralph <br /> Kempf, and Travis Winkey. Representing Staff were Planning Director Mike Gaffron,Planners Melanie <br /> Curtis and Janice Gundlach, and Recorder Jackie Young. <br /> Chair Rahn called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Item No. 1 was removed from the Consent Agenda. Item No. 2 was added to the Consent Agenda. <br /> *2. #05-3095 MINNETONKA PORTABLE DREDGING ON BEHALF OF GREGG <br /> STEINHAFEL,2265 NORTH SHORE DRIVE, CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT,6:01 P.M.— <br /> 6:02 P.M. <br /> There were no public comments regarding this application. <br /> Rahn moved,Bremer seconded,to recommend approval of Application#05-3095,Minnetonka <br /> Portable Dredging on behalf of Gregg Steinhafel,granting of a conditional use permit subject to <br /> Staff's recommendations outlined in the Planner's Report dated September 16, 2005. <br /> VOTE: Ayes 7,Nays 0 <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. #05-3115 WJM PROPERTIES,LLC,2605 WAYZATA BOULEVARD WEST, <br /> CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, 6:02 P.M.—6:12 P.M. <br /> Peter Johnson,WJM Properties,was present. <br /> Gaffron stated the request tonight is for a review of the building materials proposal for the Morrie's site. <br /> The Planning Commission in June approved the conditional use permit amendment and revisions to the <br /> industrial site plan for an expanded parking area south of the existing main lot and construction of an <br /> addition to the existing accessory building south of the principal structure. The applicant subsequently <br /> reoriented the building north-south rather than east-west,which was reviewed at the July Planning <br /> Commission meeting and approved subject to the siding materials of the accessory building addition and <br /> existing accessory building be of matching materials and colors and final grading and further subject to <br /> the drainage plans being submitted for review and approval by the City Engineer. <br /> PAGE 1 <br />
