APPROVAL OF PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES OF JUNE 17,2024 <br /> Ressler moved,Libby seconded,to approve the minutes of the Orono Planning Commission <br /> meeting of June 17,2024.VOTE: Ayes 5,Nays 0. <br /> 5. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> 5.1. LA24-000034 MATTHEW TIERNEY,2285 AND 2305 BAYVIEW PLACE, VARIANCES <br /> The Planning Commission is requested to review the Staff report,receive a presentation, and discuss and <br /> approve lot size and width variances and a front yard set-back variance. <br /> The Planning Commission discussed the item and asked questions of staff and Mike Sharratt, a <br /> representative for the applicants,who were out of town. <br /> Chair Bollis opened the public hearing at 6:05 p.m. <br /> There were no public comments. <br /> Chair Bollis closed the public hearing at 6:05 p.m. <br /> Commissioners said it was pretty straightforward and a better use of the land changing two irregular lots <br /> into two more normally-shaped lots, even though both are still non-conforming, and the plan improves <br /> set-backs. <br /> Ressler moved,Kraemer seconded,to approve LA24-000034, 2285 and 2305 Bayview Place, <br /> Variances.VOTE: Ayes: 6,Nays 0. <br /> 5.2.
