Schwartzman and Jane Schwartzman, husband and <br /> wife (hereinafter "the applicants") are the owners of the property located at 425 Oxford <br /> Road within the City of Orono (hereinafter the "City") and legally described as follows: <br /> Lot 2, Block 1, Stielows Second Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota <br /> (hereinafter the "property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have made application to the City of Orono <br /> for a variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1279 (6) to allow <br /> construction of an in-ground pool on the lake side of the home closer to the lake than the <br /> average lakeshore setback, as determined by the adjacent homes. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br /> Orono, Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File 05-3101. <br /> 2. The property is located in the LR — 1A, Zoning District which requires a <br /> minimum lot area of 2.0 acres and a minimum lot width of 200'. The <br /> applicants' property is approximately 2.033 acres and 250' in width at the <br /> shoreline and 229' in width at the 75' setback. <br /> 3. The Planning Commission reviewed this application at a public hearing <br /> held on April 18, 2005 and recommended approval of the variance based <br /> on the following findings: <br /> a.
