Box 66 Orono, Minnesota 55323 Re: State Sale of Surplus Land Dear Ms. Van Zomeren: With regards to the above matter, the State of Minnesota, pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 85.015, subd. 1(b), will be conveying surplus state trail land to Longridge Associates. Longridge owns property immediately adjacent to the Luce Line Trail and seeks this surplus parcel. Enclosed please find a map which shows in cross-hatch the State tract which will be conveyed to Longridge Associates. The legal description of the property is as follows: A parcel of land located in the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, Section 2, Township 117 North, Range 23 West, Hennepin County, Minnesota, described as follows: Commencing at a point on the west line of said Section 2 which is the intersection of the southerly right of way line of the Minnesota Western Railway Company and the said west line of said Section 2; thence in a northeasterly direction parallel with and 57 feet southeasterly from the center line of the main track of the Minnesota Western Railway Company measured at right angles therefrom for a distance of 873 feet to the point of beginning; thence southeasterly at right angles to the previously described line a distance of 43 feet; thence northeasterly at right angles to the last described line a distance of 180 feet, more or less, to the center line of the Long Lake-Orono road so-called, which point is 100 feet southeasterly of the center line of the said main track measured at right angles therefrom; thence along the said center line of the said road in a northwesterly direction to a point which is 57 feet southeasterly from the center line of the said main track measured at right angles therefrom; thence in a southwesterly direction parallel with the said center line of main track a distance of 170 feet;more or less,to the point of beginning.
