. \
CITY of ORONO
CITY Post Office Box 66•Crystal Bay,Minnesota 55323•Municipal Offices
OF
ORONO On the North Shore of Lake Minnetonka
January 14, 1988
James M. McCaffrey vc S I
9480 Aspen --c c T
V2` nk,
Eden Prairie, MN 55344
4400
Re: Driveway Plan or Lot 7, Block 1, Orono +aks
Dear Mr. McCaffrey:
City Engineer Glenn Cook has reviewed existing plans for your proposed
driveway at 1225 Orono Oaks Drive. He feels that no further plans are
needed. However, regarding the elevation of the invert of the culvert that
will be placed under the driveway, he notes that no outlet invert elevation
was given for the culvert that is east of your property and under the Luce
Line Trail. His comment was that if the outlet invert of that Luce Line
culvert is at 952,0 feet or higher, then the proposed driveway culvert
invert elevation of 951.5 feet is acceptable. However, if the Luce Line
culvert invert is lower than elevation 952.0 feet, then your driveway
culvert should be lowered to elevation 951.0 feet or to whatever elevation
will yield a driveway culvert invert approximately 6 to 12 inches below the
Luce Line culvert invert. Your excavator can verify these elevations when
he is setting that culvert.
Based on the drawings submitted previously, I am estimating your fill
required at approximately 750 cubic yards, hence this project qualifies for
the lesser grading permit fee of $50.50. Your grading contractor should
obtain that permit prior to commencement of excavation.
Please feel free to call me at 473-7357 if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
97/4;4_0/r'
Michael P.
