CITY OF ORONO <br /> PARK COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> The regular meeting of the Orono Park Commission was held on May 4 , 1982. <br /> The following members were present: Kelly, ATTENDANCE <br /> Sweatt, Tomlinson and Stinson. <br /> The minutes of the meeting of April 6 were MINUTES APPROVED <br /> read and approved. <br /> A newly organized junior baseball league would JUNIOR BASEBALL LEAGUE <br /> like to use the new field at Bederwood Park. BEDERWOOD PARK <br /> They have requested an outfield fence and benches <br /> on two sides . It will be home field for two <br /> leaQues . The estimated cost of the fence and <br /> benches will be approximately $1 , 000 . Council <br /> is being approached to ascertain funding. <br /> At the last meeting of the Park Commission ORONO PARKS <br /> it was decided to release information on <br /> Orono Parks. It will be available at the <br /> Orono town offices. <br /> The City staff and Planning Commission would SCHLEE DEVELOPMENT <br /> like the Orono Park Commission to give them <br /> an indication of the size of the Tot-Lot in <br /> the Schlee Development. The Park Commission <br /> feels it cannot dictate size but can offer <br /> some guidelines , namely that it is essential <br /> to have the lot not less than 7500sf and <br /> conveniently located to all house lots. The <br /> equipment, provided by the developer, shall <br /> include but nat be limited to a swing set, <br /> climber with sand box and a slide. The lot <br /> should be seeded or sodded. The above criteria <br /> are recommended to the City staff & Planning <br /> Commiss ion. ° <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 8 : 00 P .M.
