The gap between the chimney and the firestop may be sealed with high- <br /> temperature silicone RTV sealant. <br /> This approval is for the top level ceilinq firestop enterinq insulated space only. It <br /> does not extend to ceiling firestops between floors at lower levels. HHT also <br /> requires the use of an attic insulation shield in this application. <br /> Sealing of the ceiling firestops between floors may cause overheating and fire. <br /> The changes to instruction manuals are forthcoming.
