� <br /> � CITY OF ORONO <br /> � Council Work Session, Saturday, April 9, 1977 11: 00 A. M. <br /> � The Orono City Council met on the above date <br /> with the following members present: Mayor <br /> � Van Nest, Councilmembers Butler, Massengale, <br /> � Paurus, and Welsh. Also present: City <br /> Administrator Benson, Assistant Building & <br /> � Zoning Administrator Olson, City Engineer Frank, <br /> and Representative Searles. <br /> � <br /> � Mayor Brad Van Nest reviewed the status of Orono' s COMPREHENSIVE SEWER PLA <br /> Comprehensive Sewer Plan stating that after several <br /> � meetings with the P�letropolitan Council staff, <br /> � Orono City staf�, and representatives of the Metro- <br /> politan Council, Orono has reached a point where <br /> � finalization of the Comprehensive Sewer Plan is <br /> at hand. The Orono Sewer Service Areas presently <br /> sewered are #1 through #6, as shown on our Sewer <br /> Service Maps. Psetropolitan Council staff, Elaine <br /> � Stanley and Sandy Dean, have concurred that Sewer <br /> � Service Areas #7 & #8 can be retained as a rural <br /> area recognizing that Minnetonka Bluffs and the <br /> � Crystal Bay Areas should be recognized as two <br /> possible potential pollution sources with future <br /> � connection to the Orono-Long Lake interceptor in <br /> a three to five year time frame after interceptor <br /> � construction completion. The remaining homes <br /> , scattered throughout Areas #7 & #8 should be <br /> monitored in conjuction with Orono' s On-Site <br /> � Disposal Regulations to insure that all private <br /> systems are operating properly. . This matter <br /> � will be on the April 11, 1977 Council agenda <br /> for Council review and approval. <br /> A <br /> Mayor Brad Van Nest and the City Council and TRANSPORTATION PLAN - <br /> '� staff discussed Orono' s Transportation Plan, ETC. <br /> Dredging Maintenance, Stormwater Management <br /> ' Plan, and the Wetlands Ordinance agreeing that <br /> these items should also be reviewed as soon as <br /> possible. <br /> � <br /> City Council Work Session adjourned at 1: 30 P.M.
