CITY OF QRONO <br /> Regular Meeting of the Orono Council, 7: 33 P.M. <br /> _ _ P-say 10, 19 7 6 <br /> �The Orono Council met on the above date with <br /> the following members present: Mayor Searles, <br /> Councilmembers Butler, Massengale, Paurus, and <br /> Welsh, Also presents City Administrator Benson, <br /> Building & Zoning Administrator Muhich, and City <br /> Attorney Malkerson. <br /> � <br /> Butler moved, Welsh seconded, that the Minutes MINUTES <br /> of the Regular Meeting of April 26, 1976 , be <br /> approvede Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) . <br /> ! Mrm Walt Lathrop, Park Commission Chairman, JOINT TRAILS GRANT <br /> reported to the City Council that the Joint PROGRAA'I <br /> ! Bike/Hike Trails Committee and the Park Commission <br /> w recommends to the City Council that the City not <br /> participate in a proposed joint Bike/Hike <br /> � Trails Grant at this time because of a lack of <br /> time to review the program before the PZay 14th <br /> deadline. The City may participate at a later <br /> date when the program will be resubmitted. <br /> � ^ <br /> he City Council requested the Park Commission to SWIP�iMING BEACH <br /> �xplore possible future swimming beach sites in <br /> Orono. <br /> Mr. Lee Gressor, Director of the Hennepin County CONDiTIONAL USE PERMIT <br /> Vo-Tech Schools, appeared before the City Council Vo-Tech Schools <br /> requesting a conditional use permit to initiate 2950 Sixth Avenue North <br /> � a Special Crop Program and plant trees on 23 acres <br /> located at 2950 Sixth Avenue North. Mayor Searles <br /> noted that this request was an environmental <br /> program designed to best serve public interest, <br /> • <br /> Butler moved, �Oelsh seconded, to waive the Planning <br /> ! Commission re£erral and grant a conditional use <br /> � permit to Hennepin County Vo-Tech Schools, 2950 <br /> Sixth Avenue North, subject to: <br /> � lo Plant trees and crops urithin one year. <br /> 2e Provide satellite toilets <br /> 3. Locate mobile construction trailer screened <br /> by natural plantings. <br /> i�Totion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) . <br /> �utler moved, Welsh seconded, to adopt Resolution RESOLUTION #681 <br /> �81, A Resolution Granting To The Joint Vo-Tech Schools <br /> Independent School District 287 A Conditional <br /> Use Permit For An Agricultural Use In An <br /> RR-1B District. rqotion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) .
