The sewer line must be disconnected from the sanitary system to ensure <br /> there is no infiltration of groundwater or soil into the manhole. The public works <br /> supervisor is requesting that the line be cut off outside the manhole and capped off. This <br /> will eliminate having to patch the hole in the manhole. <br /> The well on the property must also be dealt with in some fashion. If you intend on using <br /> the well in the future then a maintenance permit must be applied for from the Department <br /> of Health Well Code Division. If you do not intend to use the well then it must be sealed <br /> by a licensed well driller and the appropriate form provided to the City. <br /> If either of these requirements have already been done, please provide the City with the <br /> information.
