� ' ' CITY OF ORONO � Regular Meeting of the Orono Council, 7 : 32 P.M. � May 13, 1975 � The Orono Council met on the above date � with the following members present: Mayor Searles, Councilmen �utler, Paurus, and � Welsh. Councilman Massengale absent. • • Butler moved, Welsh seconded, that the MINUTES Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 22 , � 1975, be approved. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . • � Paurus moved, Butler seconded, to deny the HIGHWOOD WATER PETITION petition for City water in the Highwood • area based on the lack of public interest • shown to proceed with the project at this time due to other economic pressures. Motion, � Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . • Butler moved, Welah seconded, to conceptually PROPOSED ANTENNA � approve the proposed antenna ordinance, An ORDINANCE Ordinance To Amend The P�unicipal Code Of Orono • By Amending Section 38.900 , And By Adding • Sections 34. 033, 34. 048 , 35. 029 , 35. 038 And � 36.021, as proposed in the following: Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . � THE CITY COUNCIL OF ORONO ORDAINS : • Section 1. The Municipal Code of the City of Orono is amended by amending Section 38.900 • as follows: � 38.900. Height of Structures: Special Provisions. • The height limitations imposed by other sections of the Zoning Code shall be increased by 50% � when applied to the following structures: � Antenna or antenna structure � Church spires Belfries � Cupolas and domes which do not contain usable space Manuments � Water towers Fire and hose towers � Observation towers • Flag poles Chimneys � Silo and other typical farm structures � Smokestacks Parapet walks extending not more than three (3) feet above height of the building � Cooling towers Elevator penthouses � (Continued) •
