The City of Orono regulates the amount of <br /> impervious surfaces on properties within 1000 feet of the lake. When your house was build it <br /> was build to the maximum amount of hardcover allowed. <br /> Therefore The City has no alternative but to require removal of the deck. A deadline of April 1, <br /> 2004 has been established. If this deadline is not met The City will initiate legal action.
