The following Planning
Commission members were present: Chairman Guthrie and
 past chairman Van Nest.
The City Attorney provided language dealing with replat-
ti.ng provisions that could be considered for adoption.
i The discussion then shifted to the proposed amennents
to the Zoning Code as had previously been presented to
• the Planning Conission, Council and the public. The
members discussed the proposed amendments to the B-2
section of the Zoning Code. It was felt tha.t the proposed
changes should be expanded to reflect the new proposed
regulations that were found necessary as set forth in the
proposed amendment to Chapter 73 of the Municipal Code.
It was felt that the perfornance standards set forth in
the proposed amenchnent to Chapter 73 should be incorpor-
ated into the regulations proposed for the B-2 use district.
The members reviewed the proposed B-2 use district regu-
lations and the proposed regulations for marina licensing
• and felt that in all respects they were compatible with
' each other and that the marina licensing regulations should
be used as the regulations where applicable ii the B-2
 districts.
i Mayor Searles discussed the provisions of the Lake Minnetonka
Conservation District Ordinance and amendments thereto which
would be incorporated by the provisions of Chapter 73. He
felt that these regulations were necessary in order to pro-
S tect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Orono
and in order to insure the protections and use of Lake
Minnetonka in the present and near future. The members pre-
sent were in agreement that the Lake Minnetonka Conservation
District Ordinances made sense and that they should be incor-
porated by reference into the B-2 use district regulations
and the ma.rina licensing regulations.
