A copy of <br /> the building permit and associated survey are attached to this letter. The approved property line <br /> setbacks for this garage, are 20' from the front lot line, and 10' from the side lot line. The survey <br /> shows the garage doors facing the platted alley. The location of the garage doors 10 ` from the <br /> edge of the alley definitively shows that a portion of the driveway needs to be located on the <br /> alley to provide access to the garage. <br /> Approval of the building permit clearly intended to allow construction of a portion of the <br /> driveway on the City alley. This is an appropriate, and typical, situation as this alley was platted <br /> to provide access. This is no different from driveways across platted street right of ways to allow <br /> driveway access to the City street pavement. <br /> Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
