A review of the application finds that the proposed work does not <br /> meet the required 50' setback from the front or street side property line. Although the proposed <br /> dormer would be placed on a building that doesn't meet setbacks, any addition or expansion of <br /> the building envelope in any direction must meet the setbacks. Your only option is to ask the <br /> City Council for a variance. If you wish to proceed, contact Jeanne A. Mabusth to discuss the <br /> variance process.
