MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, January 12, 2015 <br />7:00 o'clock p.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />The Orono City Council met on the above-mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor <br />Lili Tod McMillan, Council Members Lizz Levang, Aaron Printup, and Dennis Walsh. Representing <br />Staff were City Administrator Jessica Loftus, Community Development Director Andrew Mack, Senior <br />Planner Michael Gaffron, Planning Coordinator Melanie Curtis, Public Works Director/City Engineer <br />Adam Edwards, City Attorney Soren Mattick, and Recorder Jackie Young. Consulting City Engineer <br />David Martini was present. <br />Mayor McMillan called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br />The Oath of Office was administered to Mayor Lili Tod McMillan and Council Members Aaron Printup <br />and Dennis Walsh. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Item Nos. 9 and 10 were added to the Consent Agenda. <br />Levang moved, Printup seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as amended. VOTE: Ayes 4, <br />Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />*2. REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MINUTES OF DECEMBER 8, 2014 <br />Levang moved, Printup seconded, to approve the minutes of the Orono City Council meeting of <br />December 8, 2014, as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />None <br />PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS — JOHN THIESSE, REPRESENTATIVE <br />Thiesse stated he had nothing to report but would be available for questions. <br />PARK COMMISSION COMMENTS — RICK MEYERS, CHAIR <br />Meyers reported the Park Commission is now up to seven members. Meyers stated Public Works <br />Director Edwards has compiled a Park Commission handbook which helps to codify the City's policies <br />and procedures for the parks. <br />Meyers noted the Orono City Council approved the new park maintenance and beach standards at their <br />December meeting and that the Public Works Department has been performing tree trimming and brush <br />clearing at a number of the city -owned parks. <br />Page 1 of 19 <br />
