ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES FOR MARCH 911998 <br />0 ROLL <br />The Council met on the above mentioned date with the following members present: <br />Mayor Gabriel Jabbour, Council Members J. Diann Goetten, Charles Kelley, Barbara <br />Peterson, and Richard Flint. Representing Staff were City Administrator Ron Moorse, <br />City Attorney Tom Barrett, Senior Planning Coordinator Michael Gaffron, Planning <br />Intern Brad Bressler, Public Services Director Greg Gappa, City Engineer Tom Kellogg, <br />and Recorder Sherry Frost. Mayor Jabbour called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />( * #I) CONSENT AGENDA <br />Items #12 and 17 were added to the Consent Agenda. <br />Kelley moved, Peterson seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as amended. Vote: <br />Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />( * 92) REGULAR MEETING OF FEBRUARY 23, 1998 <br />Kelley moved, Peterson seconded, to approve the Minutes of the Regular City Council <br />• Meeting of February 23, 1998. Vote: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />PARK COMMISSION COMMENTS <br />Park Commission Chair McDermott reported that Amelia Kroeger was presented with <br />the Friend of the Parks Award at their last meeting. Kroeger would like to see a <br />recycling program started at Bederwood Park. McDermott said the OBA has requested <br />to amend their contract regarding use of Bederwood for baseball to allow one extra night <br />of play for the intermediate, or 13 year old, level. This would affect 28 Orono students if <br />all played baseball. <br />40 <br />
