• ROLL <br />0 <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES FOR JANUARY 26, 1998 <br />The Council met on the above mentioned date with the following members present: <br />Mayor Gabriel Jabbour, Council Members J. Diann Goetten, Charles Kelley, Barbara <br />Peterson, and Richard Flint. Representing Staff were City Administrator Ron Moorse, <br />City Attorney Tom Barrett, Senior Planning Coordinator Michael Gaffron, <br />Planner /Zoning Administrator Elizabeth Van Zomeren, Public Services Director Greg <br />Gappa, Planning Intern Brad Bressler, City Engineer Tom Kellogg, and Recorder Sherry <br />Frost. Mayor Jabbour called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />( * #1) CONSENT AGENDA <br />Items #20 and 22 were removed from the Consent Agenda. Items #5, 6, 7, 8, and 19 <br />were added to the Consent Agenda. <br />Goetten moved, Peterson seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as amended. Vote: <br />Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL Of MINUTES <br />( * #2) REGULAR MEETING OF JANUARY 12, 1998 <br />Goetten moved, Peterson seconded, to approve the Minutes of the Regular City Council <br />Meeting of January 12, 1998. Vote: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />PARK COMMISSION COMMENTS <br />Commissioner McDermott referenced an article in The Laker regarding the opening of <br />the golf course and warming house for sledding. Flint noted that the facility is receiving a <br />large amount of use. <br />Jabbour informed McDermott that a past Park Commissioner, Jim Gilbert, was recently <br />sworn in to serve on the State Supreme Court. <br />LAKE MINNETONKA CONSERVATION DISTRICT <br />Lili McMillan reported that the LMCD is discussing a possible code restriction on outlots <br />related to boat storage. A moratorium is also being considered. McMillan felt the study <br />could occur without the moratorium and suggested the LMCD review Orono's outlot <br />code. No decision was reached at the LMCD meeting. McMillan said she would like to <br />see ordinance information gathered from all lake cities. <br />1 <br />
