r <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD JULY 10, 1989 <br />ATTENDANCE 7:00 P.M. <br />The Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present: Mayor Grabek, Councilmembers Goetten, Nettles, Peterson <br />and Callahan. The following represented the City staff: City <br />Administrator Bernhardson, Building & Zoning Administrator <br />Mabusth, Public Works Director Gerhardson, Assistant Planning and <br />Zoning Administrator Gaffron, City Engineer Cook, City Attorney <br />Barrett, and City Recorder Scheffler. <br />CONSENT AGENDA* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Nettles, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion, <br />Ayes =S, Nays =O, Motion passed. <br />Councilmember Goetten requested at this time that the Liquor <br />Sales Ordinance Amendment #69, Second Series, that was passed on <br />the consent agenda at the June 26, 1989, Council meeting be <br />brought back. Goetten said that she had not been aware of this <br />item being a consent item and would not have voted in favor of <br />liquor sales on the 4th of July. She asked to have the <br />opportunity to vote accordingly. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Nettles, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to approve the Minutes of the June 26, <br />1989 Regular Council Meeting. Motion, Ayes =5, Nays =O, Motion <br />passed. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE <br />Planning Commission Representative Hanson was present and <br />indicated that he had no comments at this time. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />There were no public comments. <br />ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />#1316 GARY BARR <br />3034 CASCO POINT ROAD <br />VARIANCE <br />RESOLUTION <br />Mr. Barr was present for this matter involving a request for <br />a front yard setback variance to construct a 1,000 s.f. garage. <br />This matter had been before the City in the fall of 1988 and <br />since that time had been revised to require only the one <br />variance. The Planning Commission had separated the variance <br />request from the issue of a conditional use permit that may be <br />required as the result of residential use of the second story of <br />an existing garage. Should the Council also agree to a <br />separation of these issues and approval of the variance request, <br />City staff would recommend that an application for the <br />conditional use permit be filed by a certain deadline.
