R ,
Christine Mattson
From: Brandon Wisner[bwisner@minnehahacreek.org]
Sent: Thursday, June 21, 2012 11:02 AM
To: Christine Mattson; Jesse Struve
Subject: 805 Forest Arms Lane, Orono
Attachments: 6-20-12 SWO.pdf
Christine and Jesse,
I have attached a copy of the Stop Work Order that was issued yesterday(June 20, 2012)at the above listed address.
This is the second SWO for this property that has been issued for the lack of erosion and sediment control BMP's on site
as well as for no District permit. As listed on the SWO,the property owner has until June 28, 2012 to submit an
application. As of today, no application has been received.
I spoke with Albert the property owner this morning and he said he is on his way home from Mexico today. He said he
will install either bio logs, silt fence or something similar that will be effective until the site is permanently vegetated at
the northern and southern edges of the property where the washout is evident. Once he has installed this, I told him to
give me a call so I can verify that it is adequate on-site. Let me know if one of you or a city inspector would like to be
included in the site visit and I can get a time scheduled.
He stated that he is concerned about the run-off from the county road that enters along the northern side of his
property now that the area is exposed after removing buckthorn. Also, the seed that was applied in the proposed buffer
area may need to be verified because at first glance yesterday it seems like it may be turf seed rather than a native seed
mix. Thank you again Jesse for taking time to meet on site yesterday.
Please let me know if you have any questions,
Thank you,
Brandon Wisner
Compliance Officer
Minnehaha Creek Watershed District
18202 Minnetonka Boulevard
Deephaven, MN 55391
Direct: (952) 641-4505
Main Office: (952)471-0590
Fax: 952-471-0682
www.minnehahacreek.org
/
MINNHAHA CREEK
wwteaSKec esraeT
Think Green - please do not print this email unless necessary
1
