City of ORONO RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL � NO. 1313 � • • REQUESTING CONVEYANCE OF TAX FORFEIT LANDS FOR Pt1BLIC USE BY TF�E CITY OF ORONO WHEREAS, the City of �rono is a municipal corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 282 , the City has received from Hennepin C�unty a list of lands within the City which have become the property of the State of Minnesota for non-payment of real estate taxes; and WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners have classified said lands as non-conservation land and have authorized - the sale of each such parcel of land subject to review and release by the City; and wHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said lands for compliance with local zoning ordinances, for the amount of outstanding special assessments remaining unpaid to the City, and/or for possible public use by the City as authorized by the statutes; and • NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of t��e City of Orono, pursuant to Minnesota Statute Section 282 . 01 , Subdivision l, hereby applies to the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners and to the Commissioner of Revenue for conveyance of the following tax forfeited lands to the City for roac;way, park, drainage, and recreation purposes. The City Council hereby states that such lands are sub- standard or otherwise unsuitable for private use and that there is a need and justifiable public purpose for said lands to be coriveved to the City. � PARCELS RETAINED FOR USE BY THE CITY OF ORONO DISTRICT PLAT PARCEL P.
