This letter is to notify you that a building permit is required for <br /> building sheds in Orono. Sheds are requirect to meet the following setbacks: <br /> 10' to side lot line <br /> 10' to rear lot line <br /> 10' to other structures <br /> 50' to front property line. <br /> Properties within 1000' of the lake are limited to the amount of hardcover that can be on the <br /> property. Your property would probably fall into the 250-500' zone which allows 30% hardcover. <br /> Unfortunately your shed does not meet any of these requirements. Therefore the City must require <br /> you to remove the shed from the property. A deadline of May 4, 1998 has been established for <br /> removal. If the deadline is not met,the City will initiate legal action.
