ORONO RECONVENED BOARD OF APPEAL AND EQUALIZATION MEETING <br />MONDAY, MAY 12, 2003 <br />• ROLL <br />The Orono Reconvened Board of Appeal and Equalization met on the above - mentioned date <br />with the following members present: Mayor Barbara Peterson, Council Members Jay Nygard <br />and Jim White. Representing staff were City Administrator Ron Moorse and Recorder <br />Alissa Winternheimer. <br />Council Members Bob Sansevere and Jim Murphy were absent. <br />Hennepin County Appraisers Kim Jensen and Kevin Wynn were present. <br />Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 6:08 p.m. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />2. Minutes of the Orono Board of Appeal and Equalization of April 28, 2003 <br />Nygard moved, and White seconded, to approve the Minutes of the Orono Board of <br />Appeal and Equalization of April 28, 2003. <br />Vote: Ayes 2, Nays 0, Abstain 1 (Mayor Peterson). <br />• <br />3. Council Action on Assessor's Recommendations <br />White stated it was a good year in terms of appeals. Mayor Peterson stated the assessors <br />had done a good job. <br />Jensen stated that those who wanted to appeal beyond the local Board of Review could do <br />so without being in attendance. <br />White stated he liked the assessor's maps, and they were more helpful than the previous <br />style. <br />Moorse asked Jensen if she had expected anyone to attend the meeting. <br />Jensen stated that Marcia Hickey was not satisfied with the change in her assessment, but <br />had not indicated she would attend the meeting. <br />Mayor Peterson moved, and Nygard seconded, to accept the assessor's <br />recommendations. <br />Vote: Ayes 3, Nays 0. <br />• <br />3 <br />
