Adams and Clea T. Altman, (hereinafter"the applicants")are <br /> the owners of the property located at 4245 Chippewa Lane within the City of Orono(hereinafter"the <br /> City") and legally described as follows: <br /> The east Quarter of South Half of northwest Quarter of southeast Quarter of Section <br /> 31, Township 118, Range 23, Except the railroad riahtaway, together with an <br /> Easement for passaje and travel over the north 1 rod of south half of northwest <br /> Quarter of southeast Quarter of said Section 31, according to the U. S. Government <br /> Survey thereof, Hennepin County, Minnesota(hereinafter "the property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for variances to Municipal <br /> Zoning Code Section 10.27, Subdivision 5 (B)to permit new residential construction on a 4.89 acre <br /> lot where 5 acres is required. <br /> WHEREAS, after due published notice and mailed notice in accordance w�ith <br /> Minnesota Statutes and the City of Orono Zoning and Plan.ning Codes, the Orono Planning <br /> Commission held a public hearing on January 17, 2001, at «-hich time all persons desiring to be <br /> heard concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak thereon. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was revie���ed as Zonin� File =�646. <br /> 2. The propert�- is located in the RR-lA Zoning District,where 5 acres is the minimum <br /> required lot area. The property consists of appro�imately 4.89 acres. <br /> 3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on January 17,2001 and <br /> recommended approval by a vote of 4 to 0. <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br />
