�'• r <br /> C�t� o� ORONO <br /> • � RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCI L <br /> � <br /> � NO. 2020 <br /> • � • • <br /> A RESOLIITION VACATING AN IINUSED Y�ORTION OF` <br /> GRANDVIEW PI,AC$ WITHIN TH$ PLAT OF MOIINT HOME PARR <br /> S$CTIOP 7, TOWNSHIP 117, RANGL 23 IN THE <br /> CITY OF ORONO, MINNSSOTA <br /> FILE NO. 1036 <br /> WH$R$AS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation <br /> organized and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br /> WH$RBAS, on May 23, 1986, Nancy Ferrell filed a petition <br /> with the City of Orono requesting the vacativn of a portion of <br /> Grandview Place originally dedicated in the plat of Mount Home Park <br /> legally described as follows: • <br /> That part of the adjoining West half of vacated Grandview Place <br /> � • lying between the Easterly extensions across it of the North line <br /> of Lot 1, Block 4, Mount Home Park and the South line of Lot 8, <br /> Block 4, Mount Home Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota; and <br /> WHBR$AS, after due published and posted notice, a public <br /> hearing was held before the City Planning Commission on June 16, 1986, <br /> regarding said vacation and all persons interested were given an <br /> opportunity to be heard; and � <br /> WH$REAS, after due standing and consideration, the Planning <br /> Commission recommended approval of the requested vacation and the <br /> Council of the City of Orono finds that said vacation, as proposed, is <br /> � in keeping with the public interest in consideration of the following <br /> findings: <br /> l. The vacation does not affect access to or use of any <br /> adjoining property. � <br /> 2. The City has not and does not intend to develop, improve <br /> or use the dedicated right-of-way as a road except for <br /> utilities and access purposes hereinafter described. <br /> 3. The unimproved dedicated right-of-way as it exists serves <br /> no public purpose. <br /> NOW, TH$REFOR$, B$ IT R$SOLVBD, that the petition of Nancy <br /> • Ferrell is hereby granted and that the portion bf Grandview Place <br /> legally described above is hereby vacated.
