FILE #1030 <br /> s <br /> � WHEREAS, Charles D. Dollar (hereinafter "the applicant") is <br /> the owner of the property located at 1810 Lakeview Terrace within the <br /> City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally described as follows: <br /> ; Lot 1, Block 4, Long Lake Country Club Addition, Hennepin County, <br /> Minnesota, (hereinafter "the property"); and <br /> WHERSAS, the applicant has applied to the City for a ' <br /> variance to Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.23, Subdivision 6 (B) to <br /> permit the construction of a room addition extending to a point 16.5 <br /> • feet from the side lot line where a 30 foot side yard setback is <br /> normally required. <br /> . NOW, TH$R�FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counci 1 of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> , <br /> . FINDINGS <br /> � l. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #1030. <br /> ' � 2. The property is located in the LR-lA Single Family Lakeshore <br /> Residential Zoning District. <br /> 3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on <br /> + May 19, 1986, and recommended approval of the proposed variance <br /> based upon the following findings: . , <br /> A) Topography and layout of the existing house preclude an <br /> addition to the rear where a variance would not be <br /> necessary. � � <br /> B) Natural screening exists which will make the addition <br /> unobtrusive in the neighborhood. ;> ' <br /> 4. The City Council has considered this application including <br /> ' � the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission, <br /> � reports by City staff, comments by the applicant and the effect <br /> of the proposed variance on the health, safety and welfare of the <br /> community. <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
