LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT DECISION
Date of Decision: 11/4/11
Approved ❑Approved with conditions(include below) ❑Denied
LGU Findings and Conclusions(attach additional sheets as necessary):
A wetland delineation at 445 Brown Road S in Orono(PID#03-117-23-31-0001)was conducted by
Svoboda Ecological Resources on May 31,201 l. The boundaiy was reviewed in the field on October 21,
2011 by Minnehaha Creek Watershed District(MCWD)staff.
The following is an excerpt from the delineation report describing the findings:
"One wetland meeting the jurisdictional criteria of a wetland, for which two separate boundaries were
determined and delineated, was flagged. Given the]arge etent ofthe wetland basin and for ease of
identification, SER delineated the boundaries as two separate wetlands as they exist within the boundary !
of the property, one on the north side of the property(Wetland 2)and one on the south side(Wetland 1)."
Both Wetland 1 and Wetland 2 are part of Public Waters Wetland#27-862W,as identified on the
Protected Waters map(Figure 4), and were determined to be Type 3/4 shallow marsh and deep marsh
wetland comple:es. Please note that the original delineation report identified the wetlands as Type 3/4
seasonally flooded and deep marsh wetland complexes, which was corrected to the more accurate
classification of Type 3/4 shallow maish&deep mai•sh wetland complexes. A i•evised delineation report
submitted on November 3,2011 is attached to this notice to document this change. i
BWSR Forms 7-1-10 Page 1 of4
