A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND ORDERING IMPROVEMENT NAVARRE SEWER & WATER IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT 82-1 WHEREAS, on October 8 , 1982, several different bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law pursuant to an advertisement for bids for construction of the following improvements: � � l. Construction of a sanitary sewer trunk line from the intersection of Blaine Avenue and Lyric Avenue � to lift station No. 5 at Togo Road and Shadywood Road. 2 . Construction of sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer within the proposed subdivision plat of Schlee Builder 's Inc. of property described as tax parcel • PID 17-117-23 34 0010 . 3 . Construction of lateral sanitary sewers to serve all properties abutting Northern Avenue; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends that Nodland Associates, Inc. is the lowest responsible�. bidder for this improve-. ment; and � WHEREAS, the City Council presently intends to proceed with construction o£ the improvement. � NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota: 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract, with , Addendum #l, with Nodland Associates, Inc. in the name of the City of Orono according to the plans and specifications heretofore approved by the City Counci� and on file in the office of the City Clerk, with option to Administrator not to award the contract if he deems it not advisable. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made • with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until the contract is signed.
