RESOLUTION # 809 <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT <br />OF TRANSPORTATION TO CONDUCT A TRAFFIC STUDY <br />ON CERTAIN STREETS IN THE CITY OF ORONO <br />WHEREAS, on June 27, 1977, the City of Orono <br />received a petition from the citizens in Orono requesting <br />a lowering of the speed limit on Willow Drive from 40 MPH <br />to '30, MPH, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono's staff has reviewed <br />the situation, and <br />WHEREAS, the City staff also feels other city <br />streets have a 40 MPH speed limit, and over the years, have <br />become more residential because of development. <br />NOW, THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED that the City of <br />Orono does hereby request the Minnesota Department of Trans- <br />portation to conduct a traffic study, on the following city <br />streets in the City of Orono, and to report back to the City <br />of Orono the findings of that study. <br />Willow Drive, from the north boundary line <br />at the City of Medina south to Fox Street. <br />• Watertown Road, from Willow Drive west to <br />County Road #6. <br />Old Crystal Bay Road, from County Road #6 <br />to Fox Street. <br />Fox Street, from Old Crystal Bay Road east <br />to Orono Orchard Road. <br />North Ferndale Road, from County Road #6 <br />to State Highway #12. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono,innes ta, <br />at a regular meeting held July 25, 1977• <br />William B.
