RESOLUTION #417 <br />A RESOLUTION PROTESTING THE PROPOSED REALIGNMENT <br />OF DISTRICTS FOR THE HENNEPIN COUNTY COMMISSION <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council, of the Village <br />of Orono, Minnesota, that the Council; <br />1. Believes that the plan to reshape the existing <br />County Commission Districts is an attempt to <br />control the County Board by Minneapolis. <br />2. Believes that -the plan was not publicized properly <br />and was "railroaded" through before any adequate <br />study could be made by voters or elected officials <br />thereby preventing any organized opposition thereto. <br />3. Would feel more represented by suburban commissioners <br />than any combination of suburban and Minneapolis <br />representatives. <br />NOW, THEREFORE,,BE IT RESOLVED that the,Village Council <br />of the Village of Orono, Minnesota protests the proposed realignment <br />of districts. <br />Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota at <br />a regular meeting -held October 26, 1971. <br />Attest: <br />I <br />Louis B.
