SYSTEM DESIGN <br />FOR KELLY SHAUGHNESSY <br />OF LOT 2, BLOCK 1, KELLEY GREEN <br />ORONO, MINNESOTA <br />8-14-86 <br />1. Percolation Rate, Type of System. <br />16.9 minutes per inch for the primary site(holes 1-4) and a shallow trench <br />system. 20.7 MPI for the alternate site(holes 5-6) and a shallow trench with <br />an interceptor draintile. <br />2. Proposed Flow Rate. <br />5 possible bedrooms @ 150 G.P.D. = 750 G.P.U. <br />3. Soil Treatment Area Required. <br />1.67 percolation factor x 750 G.P.U. = 1250 Sq. Ft. minimum. <br />4. Size and Number of Trenches. <br />5 trenches 3 feet wide and 83.3 feet long = 1250 Sq. Ft. These trenches would <br />be no deeper than 1.0 feet deep in the natural"and be spaced a minimum of 7.5 <br />feet apart center to center. <br />5. Drainfield Rock Needed. <br />46.3 cubic yards of rock is needed to have 6 inches under and 4 inches over <br />a 4 inch distributior )ipe. <br />6. Septic Tanks. <br />Two septic tanks of at least 1000 and 750 gallons each are needed. It appears <br />that if the house is set high enough that gravity flow can be maintained, a <br />third pumping tank and pump would not be needed. <br />7. Additional Information. <br />All construction and materials must adhere to the provisions of the City of <br />Orono. Both the primary and alternate sites must be kept free of grading <br />and traffic.
