Amundson (hereinafter "the applicant” ) is <br />the owner of the property located at 3135 Casco Circle located within <br />the City of Orono (hereinafter "the City") and legally described as <br />follows: <br />Lot 41 and commencing on Northeasterly line of Lot 64 at a point 30 <br />feet Northwesterly from the most Easterly corner of said lot <br />thence Southwesterly to the most Northerly corner of Lot 40 thence <br />Northwesterly to the most Northerly corner of Lot 41 thence <br />Northeasterly on the line between Lots 41 and 42 extended to a point <br />in a line parallel with and 20 feet Southeasterly at right angles <br />from the Northwesterly line of said lot 64 thence Northeasterly on <br />said parallel line to the Northeasterly line of said Lot 64 thence <br />Southeasterly to beginning including vacated street Lots 41 and 64 <br />(hereinafter "property"), and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for a <br />Conditional Use Permit to permit the major alteration of an old <br />boathouse, a non conforming structure, in order to provide an access <br />stairs and landing area on the steep lakeshore bank of the property per <br />Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.03, Subdivision 5 (H). <br />HOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Minnesota: <br />Findings <br />1. The application was reviewed as Zoning Pile No. 915. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-lC Lakeshore Residential <br />Zoning District. <br />3. On June 17, 1985, the Orono Planning Commission reviewed the <br />application as proposed and recommended approval, finding <br />that the application as amended would be in )(ecping with the <br />intent of Section 10.03, Subdivision 5 of the zoning code and <br />with the intent of the standard jf that same code that governs <br />all lakeshore use. <br />4.
