The procedure was in
accordance with the method designated by the Minnesota Department of Health, 1971»
and somewhat modified by our engineering judgment.
The attached loc sheet indicates the observed percolation rates at each of the
test holes (P-1 through P-4). The observed percolation rates at each of the test
holes was within the maximum allowable rate of 60 minutes per inch, as recommended
by the Minnesota Department of Health'. Based on thesa observations, the installation
of an individual soil absorption system will be acceptable in the area tested.
In addition to the above percolation test holes, one (l) test boring was drilled
to a depth of 8.0 feet below the existing ground surface to determine if the water
table v/as less than that depth. The .oils encountered in this boring consisted of
0 1 foot thick layer of dark brown to black silty and sandy clay topsoil (OL). Under
lying to a depth of 8.0 feet by brown silty and sandy clay containing a trace of gravel
(CL-SC). Ground water was not encountered either during the drilling operations or
48 hours after completion of the boring. Based on these readings, it is our opinion
C K wwny, P t
^ Qngtcfinaiif. ^ E
iofwi M Ow«fto0m,I^E
n t rtc. 1^0 . <* .8
« ^ ^ I
rHiCAGO, FfORIA, ILLINOIS # WASHINGTON.
