SLO VO Minutes <br /> City Council Regular Meeting <br /> Monday,June 24, 2024, 6:00 PM <br /> ti� c, City Council Chambers 2780 Kelley Parkway, Orono, MN 55356 <br /> t-KEs H O�6 <br /> Mayor Walsh called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Orono City Council members present: Mayor Dennis Walsh,City Council Members Matt Johnson, <br /> Richard Crosby III, and Maria Veach. Members absent: Alisa Benson <br /> Staff present were City Attorney Soren Mattick, City Administrator/Engineer Adam Edwards,Finance <br /> Director Maggie Jin, and Fire Chief James Van Eyll. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> CEREMONY <br /> 1. Orono Firefighter Swearing in Ceremony <br /> City Administrator Edwards reported the Orono Fire Department has hired 22 firefighters over the past <br /> year. The firefighters have completed all the necessary training to be a firefighter or are currently <br /> enrolled. <br /> Mayor Walsh administered the Oath of Office and each firefighter received their badge as well as flowers <br /> from the Orono Garden Club. Taking the Oath of Office as charter members of the Orono Fire <br /> Department were James Van Eyll, Shea Chwialkowski,Tom Flermoen, JB Seals,Jeff Krahl, Ryan <br /> Kanive, Mike Johnsrud,Justin Hinker,Ben Carlson,Kayla Kennedy,Pat Cotton,Jake Martin, Taylor <br /> Andres, John Jackson, Chris Adams, Tom Brown and Matt Hoover.Not present were Ben Veach, Oliver <br /> Kennedy and Nate Webber who will receive their badges at a later date. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> 2.
