City Council Chambers 12780 Kelley Parkway, Orono, MN 55356 <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> City Council members present: Mayor Dennis Walsh, City Council Members Alisa Benson, Matt <br /> Johnson, and Maria Veach. <br /> Staff present: City Administrator/Engineer Adam Edwards and City Clerk Christine Lusian. <br /> MINUTES OF PUBLIC MEETINGS <br /> Administrator Edwards introduced the topic of minutes, requirements, past practice and recent <br /> direction. Council talked about their value of transparency to the public in conducting business <br /> and ensuring actions and votes are clear and easy to find. City Clerk Lusian noted that the <br /> minutes are in full compliance with best practices and all laws and regulations, including city <br /> code, open meeting law, and retention. Administrator Edwards shared a training slide from a <br /> previous year as a refresher on the standards for minutes. Council members spoke about the <br /> desire to maintain an optional record of public opinions and discussions, in which they supported <br /> with an investment last year in recording and transcript services. Council also discussed the need <br /> for information outreach and education for continuity of services and customer service during <br /> service transitions and improvements. <br /> STREETS MAINTENANCE <br /> Administrator Edwards introduced the topic of preventative pavement maintenance planning for <br /> next year, including inspection, assessment, funding. Council discussed the recommended streets <br /> for 2025, including Kelley, Lydiard, Carman, Ferndale, and Brown, as well as those for 2026 and <br /> beyond, like Spring Hill, Old Long Lake Road,North Arm, Garden, Dickey Lake, Spruce, <br /> Linden, Dahl, Loma Linda, Forest Lake, Fagerness, Webb, Concordia, Crestview, Myrtlewood, <br /> Hackberry, Elm, Maple.
