The City's policy has always been to collect the SAC charge <br />(Sewer Availability Charge) prior to issuance of the connection permit. Due to a clerical error, <br />this was not done. The SAC charge is a fee charged to all new connections to sewer. The fee <br />is collected by the City of Orono and then forwarded to the Metropolitan Waste Control <br />Commission. The SAC charge for 1994 is $800.00. Please remit this amount as soon as <br />possible. I apologize for any inconvenience this error has caused you.
