VILLAGE OF ORONO <br />Regular Meeting of the Planning Cosmission, <br />March 6, 1972 <br />7:15 P.M. <br />The Planning Commission met on the above <br />date with the following members present: <br />Elliott, Hays, Kullberg, Nicholls, Searles, <br />and Soutliwortn. Absent: Gasch, llerfurth, <br />Poisson, Ryerse, and Van Nest. In the <br />absence of Chairman Poisson, Southworth <br />Ciiaired the meeting. <br />Kullberg moved, Searles seconded, that the <br />?Iinutes of the meeting of February 22, <br />1972, be approved. Ftotion, Ayes (6) - <br />Nays (0). <br />MINUTES <br />James Lindsey represented himself in an <br />application to conduct an antique shop <br />in a R-li) zone at 2314 Shadywood Road, <br />legally described as Lot 15 and NWly 5* <br />of Lot 16, Wiley's Navarre Addition. He <br />presented statements from the neighbors <br />saying they had no objection to this usage. <br />Mr. Lindsey said that this property had <br />been a problem rental, a condition verified <br />by the Building Inspector and that the <br />neighbors preferred the proposed usage to <br />the way it was currently used. <br />CONDITIONAL USE PER*!IT <br />2314 Shadywood Road <br />Lot 15, NWly 5* Lot 16 <br />Wiley's Navarre Addition <br />Searles asked what improvements were <br />intended to be done to the property. Mr. <br />Lindsey stated they intended to place a <br />new roof on the house, do small alterations, <br />paint, remove the shed in the rear and <br />blacktop in the rear yard on the Olive <br />Avenue side. He stated that this is a <br />personalized business and not conducive to <br />a large volume and felt he had ample <br />parking on the Olive Avenue side. <br />Nicholls moved, Searles seconded, that <br />since this was the highest and best <br />current use of this property, approval <br />be recommended. Motion, Ayes (6) - Nays (0). <br />Members studied the proposed division of <br />Michael Langner>John Wells property. The <br />division is for the purpose of mutually <br />adjusting the property line between their <br />property lines by 5’. <br />losed division of DIVISION <br />2000-2016 Shadywood Road <br />Searles moved, Southworth seconded, that <br />since there was no attempt to evade the <br />zoning code, the division be recommended <br />for approval. Motion, Ayes (6) - Nays (0).
