► <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF THE ORONO CITY COUNCIL <br />Tharsday, September 11,2003 <br />4:00 o ’clock p.m. <br />ROLL <br />The Council met in a special meeting on the above mentioned date with the following members <br />present: Mayor Barbara Peterson; Council Members Jim Murphy, Jim White, and Bob Sansevere; <br />Representing staff was City Administrator Ron Moorse <br />Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at S: 11 P.M. <br />1.ReicIsloB of PreUmiaary 2004 Tax Levy and Badgct Resotatioas, aad AdoptioB of <br />Revised Tax Levy aad Badget - Resolatioat No. 5044 aad 5044 <br />Moorse reported that, due to a misunderstanding regarding how the loss of State Market <br />Value Credit Aid was to be calculated into the City’s tax levy, the tax levy reflected in the <br />resolutions adopted at the September 8, 2003 meeting did not correctly reflect the <br />necessary tax levy amount. The levy amount needs to irulude the anxMint of Market <br />Value Credit Aid. even though the State is not going to pay the Aid to the City.
