SYSTEM DESIGN <br />FOR EIDEN CONSTRUCTION <br />OF LOT 8, BLOCK I, ABINGDON GLEN <br />ORONO, MINNESOTA <br />10-24-85 <br />1. Percolation Rate, Type of System. <br />10.7 minutes per inch for the primary site (holes 1-4). Shallow Trench System. <br />2. Proposed Flow Rate. <br />6 bedrooms @ 150 G.P.D. = 900 G.P.D. <br />3. Soil Treatment Area Required. <br />i,67 percolation rate factor x 900 G.P.D. = 1500 Sq. Ft. <br />4. Size and Number of Trenches. <br />5 trenches 3 feet wide and 100 feet long =1500 Sq. Ft. These trenches would <br />be spaced 7.5 feet apart center to center and be no deeper than 1.5 feet deep <br />in the natural soil. <br />5. Drainfield Rock Needed. <br />56 cubic yds. of rock is needed to have 6 inches under and 2 inches over a 4 <br />inch distribution pipe. <br />6. Septic Tanks. <br />Two septic tanks each of 1000 gallons are needed. In addition, if the house <br />is not kept high enough, a third pumping tank and pump would be needed to <br />reach the drainfield area. <br />7. Additional Information. <br />Grading must be done to divert runoff water away from the drainfield trenches. <br />The use of an interceptor draintile could also be used. All construction traf <br />fic must be kept off both drainfield sites and no grading is allowable in ei <br />ther area.
